One good piece of advice for photojournalists is to get close to the subject. Then get closer. The women's crew team at the U let me sit in the coxswain seat for a short ride up the river. For this shot I took the viewfinder off my Nikon F2 and held the camera upside down and looked onto the focusing glass to frame the image.
